Howard was a friend to me and my family in the early 70's. I dont know where he got his personality but I would like to have something like his. Saw him at a little get together at my brother in laws just a few months before he passed. Even though he was ill at the time, he still had that great character.
What I remember of Howard...first, it was his name was hardly ever stated with just Howard...it was always, "Howard Collier". Second, his incredible instant smile, and conversly his glare if he was not pleased.
He was a full out character and those who had the opportunity to know him became very fond of him.
